The Nike Air Force 1 ’07 ‘Lotus Flower’ is a special edition that honors San Francisco’s Chinatown, one of the largest Chinese communities outside of Asia and the oldest Chinatown in the US. The shoe’s white leather upper is intersected by a pink gradient Swoosh for contrast. On the lateral heel, a lotus flower design is embossed, while the tongue and insole display gold-foil Chinese characters reading ‘Gau Gam Saan’ or ‘Old Gold Mountain.’ This term refers to the hope of good luck that California symbolized during the Gold Rush era.
